Judoka of the Month: June & July 2026, Gracie and Elias!
We’re a little behind on our posts, so this one covers two months in one. June’s Judoka of the Month is Gracie, and July’s is Elias. Both thoroughly deserve the recognition, so here they are together.
Gracie, Yellow Belt, June
Gracie brings something special to the dojo. She trains with a smile on her face every single session, and that energy is infectious for everyone training alongside her. As a yellow belt, she’s already building one of the best o-goshi throws in the club. Gracie shows that you can enjoy every minute of training and still be seriously good at it.
Elias, Bridge Yellow Belt, July
Elias has been a joy to teach. His focus on the mat is something younger students could learn a lot from. He turns up ready to train, listens closely to instruction. That discipline shows clearly in his grading progress, he’s currently a bridge yellow belt, a real reflection of steady, genuine improvement. It’s his attitude that really stands out though. Win or lose in randori, he stays calm, respectful, and hungry to improve. That’s Judo in action.
Well done to both of you. Keep bringing that energy and focus to the mat, it doesn’t go unnoticed!
