We Marched at Tod Carnival 2026
Todmorden Judo Club took to the streets this summer, and we loved every minute of it.
On the 23rd, members of the club joined the famous Todmorden Carnival Grand Parade, marching through the town centre as a group. Families came out to support; the kids looked brilliant in their judogis, and we handed out leaflets to curious onlookers along the route.
It was a fantastic day sharing with the community. Seeing our younger members walking tall through the streets of Todmorden, representing the club with pride, was a reminder of why we do what we do.
Todmorden Carnival is one of West Yorkshire’s great community traditions. The whole event is run by volunteers and raises money for local charities and community groups. Being part of that felt right. Judo has always been about more than what happens on the mat, and the carnival gave us a chance to live that out in public.
We’re proud to be part of this town. If you spotted us on the parade and want to find out more about the club, we’d love to hear from you. Training takes place at Todmorden Learning Centre on Burnley Road, and new members are always welcome.
