Red Dragon Traditional Japanese Jujitsu

Welcoming Red Dragon Traditional Japanese Jujitsu to Our Dojo

We’re really pleased to share some news with our members and friends: Red Dragon Traditional Japanese Jujitsu will soon be training alongside us at Todmorden Community College.

Judo and Jujitsu share the same roots in Japanese martial traditions, and we’re excited to welcome another martial arts club into the dojo space. It’s a great opportunity for our community to grow, learn, and support each other.

What is Traditional Japanese Jujitsu?

Jujitsu is one of the oldest Japanese martial arts, developed for the battlefield in close combat situations. It uses both defensive and attacking techniques to neutralise an opponent with minimum effort.

At Red Dragon, the focus is on teaching practical self-defence while building strength, passion, courage, and protection. Sessions are taught in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, making it a great way to stay fit, build confidence, and have fun.

Who can train?

  • Seniors (16+) – £8.50 per session / £30 monthly
  • Warriors (11–16 years) – £7 per session / £25 monthly
  • Parent & Child – £12.50 per session / £40 monthly
